about
From the moment of using a Spectrum 16k home computer, the fascination of games and pushing little coloured blocks around a TV screen took hold
Progressing to a Commodore Amiga 500 and playing Populous, I realised the power of capturing someones attention making them lose hours of their lives playing games. I fell in love with those little pixel guys.
This is a game a bit like that, Reprisal, a game based on and in homage to Bullfrog’s classic Populous. Being developed in Flash for browser based game play with a aim to hopefully release it … very very soon!
Being developed by ELECTROLYTE.CO.UK & Last17
Music by Eric Skiff
Press Mentions:
“Electrolyte has released the public beta of their Populous-inspired strategy title, Reprisal, which we have found to be absolutely stunning.”
Indie Game Magazine 17.04.12
“In this pixelated delight, you’ll take on the role of an omnipotent deity who must command his people to victory or risk turning into a figment of history’s imagination”
Indie Games 09.03.12
“The retro-chic pixelated look is lovely, and the music suits the style perfectly. The pixel-men are utterly adorable, and the menu and screen transitions are all nice and slick.”
