XP alters are now in, collect these to customise your totem classes. They can be collected by capturing land around them or a populant walking under them.
Been working on the Universe aspect of the game. Some 170+ islands will be there to explore, charting your progress across space.

Pleased to announce the second release of Reprisal Universe’s beta (0.2) is now available to download!!
There’s been a number of changes since the first release. UI has been improved a bit, building flags will not appear until they have enough ’populant’ to be kindled! The beginnings of the story mode is added and also tutorials are added to the first two islands. Memory slots are streamlined to one and heaps of new SFX added.
The beta still only contains the Campaign Islands. Feedback on things like how hard it is / bugs / anything, welcomed. You can post feedback via the Steam forum here:

Ooo that’s worked well! Just added the ability to capture the game screen without any of the UI and save it to your HD as a png :D
This will be in the next beta release (r2), I’ve added a list to the Desura forum, but here’s the current status:
Added / Fixed
- Default tool switches to terraform totem to save clicks
- Tutorials added to islands 1 and 2
- Updated UI on island selection to make it a bit clearer
- New mouse pan mode, hold down ‘space’ and move mouse around to scroll
- New 'screen capture’, allows you to save a PNG screen without UI / Hud
- Bug fixed on merge with one populant left
Still waiting to finished before releasing r2
- Sort out save slots … simplifying
- Some other stuff I can’t think of at the moment! …
Couple of screens showing new cloud effects (these animate), grabbing a relic and the class system which I’m working on. In the universe you can build up experience points that then increase totem powers.
Will be on the look out for beta testers soon :D
Finally managed to get lava flows working :D
Back to deving on PC after a week away on the Mac, happy to say all updates work :) I still need to benchmark the full screen mode but works like a dream on this rig.

In game pause UI is starting to be changed and will list island information. This will be key later in the Universe islands where different tasks may be needed to successfully conquer islands.
The mini-map is now mono to fit in better with the rest of the UI. I’ve also been balancing the ‘Tidal Storm’ totem power which used to flatten the entire island by one tile. I’m changing this so that there is more of an erosion meaning you can protect settlements by building mountains around them. It’s all slowly coming together.
